TECHNOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES OF IMPROVED GRAVITY IRRIGATION OF CROPS

      Main aim:

      Acquaintance with the matter and the possibilities of using the methods, technologies and technical means for improved irrigation of crops and providing economical and rational spending of water, preservation of soil fertility and protection of waters and soils from pollution and degradation.
      
      Objectives:

      The following questions about the technologies and techniques of improved gravity irrigation are dealt with:
Principles. Advantages and disadvantages, scope of application; Technology and technique of improved gravity irrigation through flexible polyethylene pipelines; Sizing up the irrigation installations; Economic analysis; Ecological analysis

      Basic kinds of surface irrigation:

      - Irrigation in strips
applied to crops of joint surfaces of slopes from 0.2% to 2-3%, the strip width is within the limits of 3 30 m
      - Irrigation in furrows applied to earthed cultures and perennial plants of ground slope from 0.2% to 5%.
